Day 7

Fear of the actual thing

Under the practical fears there is usually the plain one, and it is easier to keep busy with logistics than to say it: dying, or leaving people, or pain, or being a burden, or not seeing something you badly want to see.

Say it today. Naming it does not make it more likely. Not naming it has been costing you more than you think.

Begin

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to thee do I come; before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

Today’s petition

St. Peregrine, here is the thing I am most afraid of. I am saying it instead of managing it.

Add your own intention here, in your own words. It is not stored anywhere.

Close

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
