Day 6

What to say to God

There is no correct prayer for this and there is no state you have to reach first. Some days it is a request, some days it is anger, and a lot of days it is nothing more than lying still and letting the fact of it be in the room with you and God at the same time.

All three are prayer. The one that is not is pretending to be further along than you are.

Begin

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to thee do I come; before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

Today’s petition

St. Peregrine, take whatever this is today, even if it is not much and not calm.

Add your own intention here, in your own words. It is not stored anywhere.

Close

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
