Day 9
Handing over the ribbon
The angel in the painting takes the smoothed ribbon away, and Mary keeps working the part still tangled. Both are happening at once, which is the honest picture of where you are today.
Some of this has loosened in nine days and some has not, and you do not get to choose which. Hand the whole ribbon over, worked and unworked, and let her keep at the part you cannot.
Begin
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to thee do I come; before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.
Today’s petition
Mary, I am giving you the whole of it, the loosened part and the part that is exactly as it was.
Add your own intention here, in your own words. It is not stored anywhere.
Close
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
That closes it. Nothing about these 9 days is kept: your place is cleared and there is no record of what you asked for.
