Day 5
The far end
The other end of the knot is held by somebody who is not going to change because you want them to. That is the hard fact of most tangles and no amount of prayer converts it into a soft one.
What can change is your grip. Today, let go of the end you were never holding, and notice how much of the strain in this was you pulling against a person who is not there.
Begin
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to thee do I come; before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.
Today’s petition
Mary, take the end of this that is not mine, and take it out of my hands.
Add your own intention here, in your own words. It is not stored anywhere.
Close
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
