Day 7
The thing you will not get
Most people praying this want an apology, or an acknowledgement, or one conversation where the other person finally says the true thing. It is a reasonable want and there is a fair chance it will not arrive.
Grieving that is different from giving up on the person. It is giving up on one specific ending, which frees you to be in the relationship that actually exists rather than the one you are owed.
Begin
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to thee do I come; before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.
Today’s petition
St. Rita, help me let go of the apology I am waiting for without letting go of them.
Add your own intention here, in your own words. It is not stored anywhere.
Close
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
