Day 5
The part you are playing
In every long standoff both people have a part, and the smaller part is still a part. Yours might be a tone, a habit of bringing something up, a withdrawal that reads as contempt, or an old grievance you keep in reach.
This is not about accepting blame you do not carry. It is about finding the one square foot of ground that is genuinely yours, because it is the only ground you can move.
Begin
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to thee do I come; before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.
Today’s petition
St. Rita, show me my own part in this, in proportion and no larger.
Add your own intention here, in your own words. It is not stored anywhere.
Close
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
