Day 9

Leaving it with him

The novena ends today and the situation may be exactly as it was on the first day. That is the ordinary case, and it is not a verdict on the prayer.

What nine days does is change where the thing sits. It has been carried, named plainly, divided into what is yours and what is not, spoken about honestly including the anger, and set beside somebody else's trouble. Leave it with him now, and pick it up again tomorrow if you need to. Novenas can be prayed more than once.

Begin

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Today’s petition

St. Jude, I am leaving this with you, still unresolved, and I am going to go on with the day.

Add your own intention here, in your own words. It is not stored anywhere.

Close

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to thee do I come; before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

That closes it. Nothing about these 9 days is kept: your place is cleared and there is no record of what you asked for.
