What you would actually accept
Somewhere in a long situation, the request quietly changes. What you wanted at the start is not always what you would take now, and it is worth being honest about that today.
Sometimes the smaller thing is the real request and always has been. Sometimes naming it is a failure of nerve and the big ask should stand. Only you know which, and today is for finding out which one you are doing.

St. Jude, help me ask for what I actually want, whether it is larger or smaller than what I have been saying.
