Day 6

Wanting to matter

She wanted to be a priest, a missionary, a martyr, and named all of it plainly rather than pretending to be content. Her resolution was to be love in the heart of the Church, which is either the largest ambition on record or an act of surrender.

Say the ambition today. There is no virtue in pretending you do not have it.

Begin

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to thee do I come; before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

Today’s petition

St. Therese, here is what I actually wanted to be. Do something with it.

Add your own intention here, in your own words. It is not stored anywhere.

Close

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
