Day 4
Being small
Her image is a child at the foot of a staircase who cannot climb it, lifting a foot anyway, expecting to be carried up.
The lifted foot is the whole of what is asked. The climbing is not yours to do and never was.
Begin
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to thee do I come; before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.
Today’s petition
St. Therese, I am lifting the foot. You know I cannot do the stairs.
Add your own intention here, in your own words. It is not stored anywhere.
Close
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
