The First Fridays
The devotion carries the practice of communion on nine first Fridays, and it is worth being exact about it: it is a devotional practice with a promise attached by private revelation, not a mechanism and not a guarantee anyone is obliged to believe.
What it is, indisputably, is nine months of turning up. Consider whether that is what your faith actually needs more than another resolution.
Begin
Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of thy faithful, and kindle in them the fire of thy love.
V. Send forth thy Spirit, and they shall be created.
R. And thou shalt renew the face of the earth.
Let us pray. O God, who hast taught the hearts of the faithful by the light of the Holy Spirit, grant that in the same Spirit we may be truly wise, and ever rejoice in his consolation, through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Sacred Heart, give me the kind of faith that turns up for nine months.
