The hard person
Everyone has one: the relative who will not soften, the colleague who is all edge, the parent who has never once said the thing.
Pray for their heart today rather than for your situation with them. It is a different prayer and you will notice the difference in how it feels to say.
Begin
Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of thy faithful, and kindle in them the fire of thy love.
V. Send forth thy Spirit, and they shall be created.
R. And thou shalt renew the face of the earth.
Let us pray. O God, who hast taught the hearts of the faithful by the light of the Holy Spirit, grant that in the same Spirit we may be truly wise, and ever rejoice in his consolation, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
