Day 2
The confessional
He spent ten to twelve hours a day in a confessional for the better part of fifty years, and the queues at San Giovanni Rotondo ran for days. That is the biography: not the phenomena, but the hours.
If there is something you have been carrying for years and not saying out loud, this is his novena, and day two is the day to admit that to yourself.
Begin
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to thee do I come; before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.
Today’s petition
Padre Pio, name for me the thing I have been carrying and not confessing.
Add your own intention here, in your own words. It is not stored anywhere.
Close
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
