Day 4
The gift of knowledge
Knowledge here is not information. It is the ability to see created things at their real size: to know what a job is worth, what money is for, and how much weight a person can be asked to carry.
It is the gift that makes someone hard to sell to. It does not despise the world, which is a counterfeit of it. It simply knows the difference between a thing that will last and a thing that is being sold as though it will.
Begin
Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of thy faithful, and kindle in them the fire of thy love.
V. Send forth thy Spirit, and they shall be created.
R. And thou shalt renew the face of the earth.
Let us pray. O God, who hast taught the hearts of the faithful by the light of the Holy Spirit, grant that in the same Spirit we may be truly wise, and ever rejoice in his consolation, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Today’s petition
Come, Holy Spirit, and let me see what things are actually worth, including the ones I have overvalued for years.
Add your own intention here, in your own words. It is not stored anywhere.
Close
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
