Day 10

Tuesday ten: patience with the unanswered

By now the request has been made ten times and remains open. That is a long time to hold something without resolution, and it wears differently than acute trouble does.

Ask for the specific grace of continuing to ask without bitterness.

Begin

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to thee do I come; before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

Today’s petition

St. Anthony, keep me asking without turning sour about it.

Add your own intention here, in your own words. It is not stored anywhere.

Close

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
