Morning Offering

O Jesus, through the most pure Heart of Mary, I offer thee all the prayers, works, and sufferings of this day, for all the intentions of thy divine Heart. Amen.

Source. The Apostleship of Prayer form of Fr. Gautrelet, 1844: the wording as it stood before 1929.

On the wording. The longer version most people know is a later expansion. From 1929 the papal intentions clause was added, along with "in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world", the Immaculate Heart phrasing, and reparation for sin. That version is equally legitimate and is what you will find on most holy cards. The older and shorter form is used here because this library ships the earliest wording it can source and tells you when a familiar version is the later one.
