Day 1
Day one: the shape of it
Twenty five days, from St. Andrew's feast to Christmas Eve, praying one short prayer fifteen times a day. That is the whole practice and there is nothing else to it.
Fifteen takes about four minutes. Most people split it: five in the morning, five at some point, five at night. Decide now how you will do it, because the ones who decide in advance are the ones still going on the eighteenth.
Begin
Hail and blessed be the hour and moment in which the Son of God was born of the most pure Virgin Mary, at midnight, in Bethlehem, in piercing cold. In that hour vouchsafe, O my God, to hear my prayer and grant my desires, through the merits of our Saviour Jesus Christ, and of his blessed Mother. Amen.
Today’s petition
Pray it fifteen times today, and hold your intention while you do.
Add your own intention here, in your own words. It is not stored anywhere.
Close
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
